Recheck a Changed Fee Record
Preserve earlier figures when new information arrives.
The record to make
Preserve earlier figures when new information arrives. When a club supplies a revised amount, keep the earlier quote and create a new version. Record what changed and where the information came from. Do not overwrite an old total without retaining the input difference; otherwise you lose the ability to explain why two saved calculations disagree.
Work through the worksheet
Copy the existing worksheet, change only confirmed fields and label the new date received. Recalculate the full period and compare with the earlier result. If the change applies partway through your period, split the calculation into segments rather than applying the new fee to every month. Ask the club to confirm the start date of the changed amount.
Worked arithmetic, not a quoted price
Hypothetical segmented record: three payments at £80 followed by three at £85 total £495 before other charges. Six at £85 would total £510 and would overstate this particular schedule by £15. The equal-payment calculator cannot represent the mixed schedule in one run; add two separate three-month runs instead.
Check the uncertainty
Does the revised amount apply to every payment in the period you selected? For “Recheck a Changed Fee Record”, keep the answer with your figures. An exact calculation cannot confirm a missing input. If the written quote and your interpretation disagree, request clarification from the club before treating the result as complete.
Source and scope
The official membership options page says costs depend on the club and chosen configuration. The linked official resources provide enquiry context, not the hypothetical figures above.
