Calculate an Observed Cost per Visit
Use a defined cost and a non-zero visit count.
The record to make
Use a defined cost and a non-zero visit count. Choose which cost you are dividing before counting visits. Monthly base cost, all recorded monthly charges and a period total are different numerators. Label the numerator and use completed visits from the same dates as the denominator. A visit calculation is a descriptive ratio, not a judgement of health value or a recommendation.
Work through the worksheet
Sum the recorded charges for the period and count completed visits once each using your own consistent definition. Divide only if the count is positive. With no visits, show not applicable rather than zero cost per visit. Keep the period and any excluded charges beside the answer so a future reader can reproduce it.
Worked arithmetic, not a quoted price
Hypothetical example: £210 recorded over two months with fourteen completed visits gives £15 per visit. If the cost excludes a £28 one-off fee, adding it produces £238 ÷ 14 = £17. The difference is the chosen numerator, not a change in attendance. A rounded display should never hide which costs were included.
Check the uncertainty
Are the fee dates and visit dates aligned to the same period? For “Calculate an Observed Cost per Visit”, keep the answer with your figures. An exact calculation cannot confirm a missing input. If the written quote and your interpretation disagree, request clarification from the club before treating the result as complete.
Source and scope
The official membership options page says costs depend on the club and chosen configuration. The linked official resources provide enquiry context, not the hypothetical figures above.
