Log a Month without a Value Score

Keep descriptive records free from invented ratings.

The record to make

Keep descriptive records free from invented ratings. At month end, record the actual costs you know and the visits you completed. Avoid a five-star value rating or a claim that a specific attendance level makes membership worthwhile. Those are personal judgements, not outcomes the worksheet can establish. A clear log can support your own questions without claiming to answer them.

Work through the worksheet

Use four short lines: period, recorded charges, completed visits and uncertainties. Add a fifth line for questions you want the club to clarify. Save the initial plan separately so revisions do not rewrite your expectations. Compare months only after checking that fees, period length and visit definitions match.

Worked arithmetic, not a quoted price

Hypothetical log: April £84 and seven visits; May £84 and four visits. The observed ratios are £12 and £21 per visit respectively. Nothing here explains why visits changed or evaluates the quality of either month. A holiday, diary change or different counting rule could matter, and the numbers alone cannot identify it.

Check the uncertainty

Can your note describe what happened without turning a ratio into a recommendation? For “Log a Month without a Value Score”, keep the answer with your figures. An exact calculation cannot confirm a missing input. If the written quote and your interpretation disagree, request clarification from the club before treating the result as complete.

Source and scope

The official membership options page says costs depend on the club and chosen configuration. The linked official resources provide enquiry context, not the hypothetical figures above.
