How to Record a Gym Quote

Keep the figures and their context together.

The record to make

Keep the figures and their context together. Create a record headed with the club, package, people covered and date received. Copy the quoted wording alongside the amount rather than replacing it with your own interpretation. Leave the start date and payment schedule blank if they were not supplied. A quote with a missing field remains incomplete even when the monthly figure looks clear.

Work through the worksheet

Use separate lines for monthly fee, one-off charges and optional extras. Write the source beside each line: email, printed quote or conversation awaiting written confirmation. Ask the club to confirm the missing items in writing. Keep a dated revision rather than silently changing the first note; this lets you explain which version you used in a later calculation.

Worked arithmetic, not a quoted price

Hypothetical worksheet only: £80 per month for six months and a £30 one-off fee gives £510 before additional extras. The average is £85 a month over that chosen period. These are invented arithmetic inputs, not David Lloyd prices. A different period changes the monthly average even when the quoted monthly fee stays the same.

Check the uncertainty

Which fields came directly from the club, and which are still assumptions? For “How to Record a Gym Quote”, keep the answer with your figures. An exact calculation cannot confirm a missing input. If the written quote and your interpretation disagree, request clarification from the club before treating the result as complete.

Source and scope

The official membership options page says costs depend on the club and chosen configuration. The linked official resources provide enquiry context, not the hypothetical figures above.
